Assoc. Prof. Dr. Husnul Azan Tajarudin is a leading researcher in biotechnology, sustainable agriculture, and environmental engineering, with extensive expertise in valorizing food and agricultural waste through innovative biological processes. He has successfully led grants exceeding RM 5 million, including pioneering projects on probiotic poultry feed via two-stage fermentation of food waste, membrane bioreactors for enhanced fermentation and wastewater treatment, microbial fuel cells for energy recovery, and biological preservation of wood and self-healing concrete. His work has resulted in multiple patents and copyrights, notably for probiotic chicken feed production and acetic and butyric acid synthesis, alongside successful commercialization of probiotic poultry feed for healthy meat consumption. Assoc. Prof. Dr. Husnul Azan Tajarudin has supervised numerous MSc and PhD students, guiding research in microbial fermentation, anaerobic digestion, and sustainable waste management.
