Assoc. Prof. Dr. Amir Reza Asnafi is a distinguished scholar in Library and Information Science, currently serving as Research Associate Dean and Head of the Information Science Department at Shahid Beheshti University, Iran. He earned his PhD, MA, and BA from Shahid Chamran University of Ahvaz and Shiraz University, focusing on archival software, open access, and information management. With extensive teaching experience in research methods, records management, information retrieval, and cataloging, he has also led workshops on research visibility and citation indexes. Dr. Asnafi’s research spans open access, scientometrics, archival studies, AI in information science, and information-seeking behavior, supported by proficiency in SPSS, UCINET, and VOSviewer. He has authored multiple books, book chapters, and over 50 journal and conference publications on topics including digital libraries, altmetrics, social media in scholarly communication, bibliotherapy, and the use of IoT and blockchain in archival centers.
