His thesis, titled “Surface Modified Photocatalysts: Fundamental, Mechanistic, and Practical Investigation for VOCs Removal,” was supervised by Prof. Dr. Young Dok Kim. Shahid completed his M.Phil. in Chemistry at Bahauddin Zakariya University, Multan, Pakistan (2007–2009), where he also conducted a Master’s thesis on “Adsorption Studies of Fe3+, Pb2+, Zn2+ on Carrot Residue” from April 2010 to November 2011. He earned his Bachelor’s Degree in Chemistry from Bahauddin Zakariya University (2003–2007).

Shahid Saqlain is currently a Senior Researcher at Scentec in South Korea, a position he has held since March 2023. Prior to this, he was a Postdoctoral Researcher at the Korea Institute of Science & Technology from September 2021 to February 2023. Shahid has extensive teaching experience, having served as a Lecturer in Chemistry at the Higher Education Department from August 2012 to March 2018. He also taught at the Leadership Colleges Network from March 2011 to April 2012 and at the Superior Group of Colleges from July 2008 to March 2011.
