Assoc. Prof. Dr. Mohammad Mehdi Ommati | Reproductive Toxicology | Research Excellence Award

Assoc. Prof. Dr. Mohammad Mehdi Ommati is a leading biomedical and environmental toxicologist at Henan University of Science and Technology. With 150 publications, over 4,688 citations, and an h-index of 38, he investigates molecular mechanisms underlying toxicity from fluoride, bisphenols, and nanoplastics. His research integrates multi-omics profiling, gut–brain axis modeling, and oxidative stress signaling pathways, including NRF2/HO-1 and MAPK cascades, to clarify mechanisms of neuroinflammation, reproductive dysfunction, and hepatorenal injury. He also advances translational solutions through probiotic therapy, metformin intervention, curcumin-based nanomaterials, and antioxidant strategies, strengthening environmental risk assessment and precision toxicology.
