Dr. Elisa Pesce | English Literature | Best Researcher Award

Dr. Elisa Pesce is an independent scholar with a PhD in English Literature from the University of Glasgow and academic training from the University of Torino. Alongside her scholarly pursuits, she has built a career as a freelance language service provider, working as a translator, proofreader, and EFL teacher while continuing to advance her research. Her doctoral work on maximalism in U.S. contemporary literature explored the exclusion of women writers from canonical models and highlighted issues of minority representation in literary studies. She is currently developing innovative frameworks that expand the cultural understanding of maximalism, while also pursuing projects on teaching U.S. culture through queer young adult fantasy literature. An active member of international academic communities, she serves within the Emerging Scholars’ Forum of the International American Studies Association and has editorial experience with RSA-Journal. Her appointment as research fellow at the University of Tübingen further reflects her academic promise.
