His journey includes a Ph.D. in Economics and Management Science from Northwest University, South Africa, alongside a Master of Management in Governance from the University of Witwatersrand. Prior to this, he completed a Master of Public Administration with a focus on Public Policy at Walden University, USA, and holds a Bachelor of Commerce Economics Honours Degree from Midlands State University, Zimbabwe. PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE: 

As a Principal Researcher at The Global Centre for Risk and Innovation in Canada since December 2023, Dr. Freeman Munisi Mateko leads the charge in developing and managing extensive research endeavors. His role involves mentoring junior researchers, contributing to strategic planning, policy development, and governance at GCRI. He excels in securing funding and resources through various avenues like grants and partnerships to bolster research activities. Simultaneously, as a Postdoctoral Fellow at the University of Johannesburg since January 2023, Dr. Mateko continues to enrich his expertise, contributing to ongoing research endeavors and academic discourse. 🌐🔍
