Dr. Charuhasini Mahapatra, MPT (Sports), hailing from Nayagarh, Odisha, is a distinguished sports physiotherapist, strength and conditioning coach, and researcher. Dr. Charuhasini Mahapatra has amassed extensive hands-on experience in sports physiotherapy through her dynamic involvement in national and state-level sporting events. She began her professional journey with an internship at IMS and SUM Hospital from January to July 2020. Since December 2023, she has been serving as a Sports Physiotherapist at the Odisha SAI Regional Badminton Academy, Bhubaneswar. Her notable roles include physiotherapy support for the Naval Tata senior and junior women’s hockey teams during tournaments in Bhubaneswar in 2022. She provided services for Odisha’s under-11 to under-19 badminton teams during various Yonex Sunrise national championships across Lucknow, Bhubaneswar, Goa, Hyderabad, and Bhadrak. Her observational studies explore critical aspects such as the correlation between racquet conversion speed, hand–eye coordination, and reaction time in amateur badminton players, as well as speed and agility influenced by gender in adolescent Kho-Kho players. She has also contributed to understanding functional movement screening in relation to balance and flexibility among non-athletes.
