Mrs. Summan Urooge | Radiation Shielding | Best Researcher Award
University of Poonch Rawalakoat | Pakistan
Mrs. Summan Urooge is a dedicated researcher and educator with a strong academic foundation in chemistry, holding a Master of Philosophy and Master of Sciences from the University of Poonch Rawalakot and a Bachelor’s degree from the University of Azad Jammu Kashmir. Her research experience spans theoretical and simulation studies of polymer-based composites for aerospace applications, synthesis and characterization of nanocomposites for biomedical use, development of polymeric carbon-based nanocomposites for electromagnetic shielding, and polymer matrix composites for radiation shielding. She has authored a research article on nanocomposites for electromagnetic shielding, published in Radiation Effects and Defects in Solids, and has gained practical exposure through an internship at the National Centre for Physics, Islamabad, where she also contributed as a hosted researcher. Currently serving as a chemistry lecturer, she teaches advanced curricula such as AP, IB, and A-levels while developing teaching materials and assessments. Her active participation in international conferences and workshops, along with strong technical and digital skills, highlights her potential as an emerging researcher in nanomaterials and advanced composites.
