Prof. Dr. Shahab Khameneh Asl has been serving as the Head of the Ceramic Laboratory Complex at the Materials Engineering Department, Faculty of Mechanical Engineering, University of Tabriz, Iran, since September 2016. Under his leadership, the complex encompasses a wide range of specialized laboratories, including ceramic manufacturing, refractory technology, glazing, glass and porcelain technologies, thermal analysis, advanced ceramics, bioceramics, electroceramics, and ceramoglass research. He manages a vibrant team of 2 professors, 2 assistant professors, 13 Ph.D. scholars, 30 postgraduate, and 55 undergraduate students. His lab is a hub for both academic and industrial projects and holds top-tier technology contracts at the university level. Since February 2011, he has also been a dedicated Assistant Professor, teaching a diverse array of courses at B.Sc., M.Sc., and Ph.D. levels, such as Advanced Materials, Nanomaterials, Electroceramics, and Advanced Topics in Materials.
