Assoc. Prof. Dr. Mirhossein Mousavi is a distinguished Iranian economist specializing in econometrics, economic modeling, energy economics, financial economics, environmental economics, natural resource economics, public sector economics, and transportation economics. He earned his PhD in Econometrics from Allameh Tabataba’i University with a focus on the economic effects of optimal petroleum pricing using general equilibrium models, following his MA in Theoretical Economics from the same institution and a BA in Theoretical Economics from the University of Tabriz. Currently serving as Associate Professor in the Department of Economics at Alzahra University, he has held numerous academic, research, and administrative positions, including Head of the Department of Economics and Research Deputy at Alzahra University, as well as senior roles in Iran’s Ministry of Roads and Urban Development. Prior to this, he earned his Master’s degree in Theoretical Economics at Allameh Tabataba’i University, conducting research on estimating price elasticity and tax lags across different tax groups in Iran’s economy, supervised by Dr. Shakeri and Dr. Asiaee. His academic path began with a Bachelor’s degree in Theoretical Economics from the University of Tabriz, where he developed his foundational knowledge of economics and prepared for advanced research in economic modeling and policy analysis.
